You've got strong arms, and I've got stumps that won't die. Ever try to move a cartload o' timber through a field of knotted roots? Ain't pretty. We've cleared the trees, but the blasted stumps keep growing back with a vengeance, like the forest don't want us here. Might be somethin' unnatural in the soil, but I don't have time for superstition. What I need is someone to take an axe and finish what we started.
