That runestone reeks of death, real old death. I've seen blood in these woods, but never a place that drinks it like water. This is beyond axes and fire. We need someone who knows the old ways... the kind of knowledge that smells like burned pages and candlewax. There's a wizard in Oakenvale name's Maelor Greythorn, he lives in one of the towers. Bit of a recluse, but he's sharp, and he's dealt with forest curses before. Go speak with him. Take that chunk of heartwood with you, maybe he can make sense of it. And if he says we need to burn the whole Hollow to ash... well, I'll start chopping.
