This is it, lad, the source o' the quakes, the terror of the deep. The Cragborn Alpha. It's maddened by those cursed crystals, thrashin' the stone as if it means to bring the whole pass down on our heads. If it breaks free into the woods above, there'll be no stoppin' the ruin it brings. I've swung me axe in many a dark pit, but this… this is a fight only a true hero can see through. Go now, face the Alpha, and put an end to its rampage. Do this, and the name o' the spiders' nest, Skittershade, will be spoken with fear no more.
On Completion
The Alpha is slain! By the stonefather, you've done it! The quakes have stopped, and the mountain feels calmer already. Skittershade will no longer be a name spoken with fear. You've saved the pass and everyone who travels through it. You're a true hero, lad!
