The truth you uncovered is grim, adventurer. Morrigath's cultists are using an ancient cave beneath the swamp as a site for their dark rituals. They aim to summon their dark god into our world. If we do not act, Coalway Swamp and all of Afallon will fall to his corruption. In the depths of that cave lies an artifact, a relic of unimaginable power that fuels their summoning rites. You must find it and destroy it before it's too late. Be warned, the cult will not part with their treasure willingly. The swamp holds an old portal, hidden at the far end, once used by ancient wizards to traverse this land when the swamp was still a sprawling city. The cultists likely use it to access the cave. If you cannot find a way in, the portal may be your answer.
Objective
Burn the Corrupted Scroll
On Completion
The Corrupted Scroll is destroyed, and the ritual has been broken. The cultists' plans to summon Morrigath have been thwarted, at least for now. You have saved Coalway Swamp, and perhaps all of Afallon, from a fate worse than death. Your bravery will not be forgotten.
