While the men mourn, someone must keep an eye on why we came down here at all. We have been digging toward a crystal the likes of which no dwarf has pulled from stone in a hundred years, and the vein runs straight into the deep chamber. The beast nesting there has grown into it over the long dark, crystal fused through its very hide. Slay the creature the crew calls the Crystalfused Titan, cut the great crystal free, and bring it to me whole. Do not let the miners talk you into chipping it apart for shares.
On Completion
Look at it. Look how it drinks the lamplight and gives it slowly back. This one stone pays for the whole dig, the widows' shares and more besides. You have a delver's heart, friend, whatever they say about you surfacers.
