Hushed whispers of nature turn to pained groans under the weight of this unnatural blight. As the twisted vines pull at my robe and the mire seems to beckon my doom, hope finds a way through in your presence, traveler. I am Talroth, a Warden of the Wood, now lost amidst the shadows of Coalway Swamp. The land aches, a corruption seeps through the earth, poisoning the roots of life. I've traced the source, a vile being that walks in mockery of the guardians it has polluted, Thornmaw, a fallen protector now spreading death where once grew life. I ask of you, brave one, purge this malevolence that chokes the heartwood. Slay Thornmaw and release these ancient grounds from the grip of corruption.

Kill Thornmaw
On Completion
Thornmaw has fallen, and with its death, the corruption begins to lift. The ancient grounds can breathe again, and life may yet return to what was nearly lost. You have done the Wood a great service, traveler. The guardians will remember your deed.
