Offer
Briarstead lies just south of here, or what's left of it. Used to be a quiet farming village that supplied Fort Duskwatch back in the old war. When the undead swept through, most of the villagers were cut down where they stood. Now they rise again, mindless and restless. We're to reclaim that ground, one corpse at a time. Take a patrol south into the ruins and cut down any of the Risen Villagers you find there. Burn the bodies if you can, I won't have them standing up again by next dawn.
On Completion
The Risen Villagers have been put to rest. The ruins of Briarstead are quieter now, and the restless dead no longer wander its streets. You've done them a kindness, and you've made this place safer for the living. Well done.
