Quest Text

Offer

I've been up all night with those shards, and I think I can read some of it! They keep coming back to pillars, 'where the crown sleeps'. I think they mean the rift itself, the Chitin Rift, just south-west of here. If there are carved pillars down there, I need rubbings, three at least. Charcoal and paper, press and rub, even you can do it! No offence. And while you're down there, could you grab four of their egg sacs for me? For science! Carefully. Very carefully. Do not drop them.

On Completion

‘Here sleeps the Sundered Crown, until the deep ones call him.’ Oh. Oh, that’s not good. Skarrith. The mercenaries have been whispering that name for weeks. Something huge came up out of that rift, and if these rubbings are right, it’s their old war-general, and something down in the deep cities is waking him on purpose. I think I’d better take these to Aradia. And maybe stop poking the rift for a while.
