The White Crucible has raised its banners in the south, and I was sent to Oakenvale to find every sword arm this valley can spare. Our paladins have made camp beneath the old cathedral, at the place we now call the Veilpiercer Staging Grounds. Beyond the camp lies Korr'Vael Hold, and the Vehlari that pour out of it grow bolder with every passing night. Marshal Harrowmere leads the muster there. Take the south road to the staging grounds and tell him Knight-Recruiter Aveline sent you.

Aveline sent you? Then you come well recommended. She turns away more volunteers than she sends me, and she is rarely wrong about which is which. Look around you. Half my crusaders were farmhands a season ago, and the demons in that hold are anything but. Catch your breath while you can. There is work enough here for all of us.
